Please don't be insulted when I say, "I feel your pain," but I AM glad not to be alone. 9 mos ago, I had a bad fall and injured both knees. I had arthroscopy with chondroplasty on one and thought it was getting better...until I stopped the pain medication; now it's as if I never had surgery, and the pain is nearly as bad as when I first injured it. I'm told the other knee will likely require the same, but I don't have a reason to believe I'm better off having had the first surgery. The worst part is when I see disbelief in the eyes of my physician and physical therapist. I guess, "Ya had to be there," to appreciate the agony. My please for help seem to fall on deaf ears...guess they've heard it all before. I, too, have become increasingly depressed. Otherwise a lover of dance and exercise, it's KILLING ME to be unable to participate in these activities, to say nothing of the sleepless nights that rob my days of energy. IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO CARES AND KNOWS WHAT CAN BE DONE? I'M DYING OUT HERE, PEOPLE!! I JUST WANT MY LIFE BACK AGAIN.
