Hi, my name is sue and about four months ago i missed a step in the stairs comming down and landed directly on my knee. I let it go for a while thinking it would heal on its own but not. Anyway xrays showed nothing, but the pain never went away. Now I was fed up of the pain so i went back to the doctors and I have an M.R.I. booked for the end of the month and I am seeing a surgeon also at the end of the month. They think its a meniscus tear but really i dont know because the pain is getting worse. Taking strong pain meds and anti-inflamitories for quite some time too with very little relief. My instinks say its is much worse than what they think becuase the pain is not only on the inner knee now but also in the knee cap and behind the leg and sometimes i cannot extend the knee fully, almost like it lock. Is there anyone out there who could tell me if you think it might be a miniscus tear or more...please?
