A few weeks ago i was diagnosed with chondromallacia patella. i sat in the hospital with the specialist explaining how he was booking me in for a lateral release in august but it isnt a cure, that there is no cure, and all i could think was, im 16 dammit, i'm too young, how the hell can this be happening to me? i am currently taking 11 tablets a day i have insoles in my shoes and my knees are permanently strapped up! if i dont have all this i cannot walk let alone get up and down the stairs of my college! i loved sports before hand, is there anyone who's had a lateral release and been able to play sports again? i havent done any more than walking in over 2 years, and the lack of activity alone is making me miserable, never mind the solitude of it, and the severe pain that can wake you up at 3am in tears! is there anyone who's had a happy ending from this horrid thing?
