  • aching knees
Through the combination of standing and walking on hard pavements in different occupations I have developed knee aches. While walking slower and bringing the feet to the ground softer has helped, it still aches to the point that I do not wish to exercise. The aches is located just below the patella. I had tried glucosamine with no results. I have no history of major or minor knee problems(other than the current one). Suggestions?

  • Patella femoral syndrome that never goes away
I am in my late 20's and have had severe knee pain since my late teens. I was originally diagnosed with patella femoral syndrome four years ago, got a patella brace, and well nothing has improved. X-rays this year confirmed that my kneecaps are straight rather than grooved, and that they track. Also, lots of cracking and painful grinding. My last visit to the orthapaedist was a let down. I was told to curb my lifestyle and that nothing could be done other than realigning my ligaments and muscles. Most of the stuff that I read about this syndrome says this is a problem that comes and goes, my problem is constant and daily. I would like to hear from people who have dealt with this problem effectively. Currently, I have braces, orthotics, and regular muscle stimulation at physio.

  • Knees pain
I am, was, a 40-50 miles weekly runner. I have a tendonitis on both knees for more than a year. I was checked by a doctor with all kind of exams, without showing nothing. I do physiotherapy. I am using special soles, to avoid over pronating. I rest for a month, come back running, and the pain return. What else I should do?
