TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama tackle Chris Samuels' arthroscopic knee surgery was a success, and he is expected to recover fully, head athletic trainer Rodney Brown said.The All-American underwent surgery on his right knee Friday at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
``The prognosis is excellent,' Brown said. ``He will begin rehab in the next few days, and I expect him to make a complete recovery.'
Samuels started 42 consecutive games before he missed the Orange Bowl last week. During his senior season, he received the Outland Trophy, given to the nation's top lineman.
Officials said his status for the upcoming Senior Bowl is doubtful.
