VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Goalie Felix Potvin of the Vancouver Canucks will be sidelined indefinitely with a sprained ligament in his left knee.Potvin, who has been placed on injured reserve, was injured during the second period of Saturday's 3-3 tie at Edmonton when teammate Jason Strudwick fell on him during a scramble in front of the net.
His condition will be re-evaluated later this week.
Potvin is 1-5-3 since the Canucks acquired him and two draft picks last month from the New York Islanders.
To replace Potvin, the Canucks recalled goalie Corey Schwab from the Orlando Solar Bears of the International Hockey League. Schwab was 2-1-1 with Vancouver earlier this season.
