Hey Cajun,

I'm sorry to hear about your PCL. Surgery's never fun; especially major reconstructive knee surgery. I found some information in Knee1's Education Center that may give you some advice before, during and after the procedure.

Hope all goes well.

Joe

I am a 30-year-old female who is fairly active. Last January I was in a car crash that caused a grade 3 tear to my PCL. I am facing PCL reconstruction in two weeks because more conservative treatment hasn't done the trick. There isn't much information out there about PCL reconstruction and I'm feeling pretty apprehensive because I have no idea what to expect after surgery. I would appreciate any first-hand experience that anyone has. I'm wondering specifically about how long to plan to be on crutches and what physical therapy is going to be like. Please comment!
