Rafael Nadal who
returned to training at the end of July afer a knee injury, seems to be well on his way back to the top.
While it is true that by this time last year Nadal had won 8 tournaments, the five he has won this year is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, I believe he has already played more matches than major opponent Federer (who has won 4 tounements this year), even though he missed Queens and Wimbeldon.
Rafa really needs to monitor his matches and schedule against keeping his knee protected. He most likely cannot keep the same schedule as he did last year. He is now moving on to the second round at the U.S. Open, after beating Richard Gasquet. In this round he will go up against Nicolas Keifer of Germany.
Let's hope his knee doesn't give out on him and he can keep the victories going!
