Procedures A knee specialist is usually able to make the diagnose Osgood-Schlatter's Disease with a clinical exam. X-Rays will determine the extent of irregularity in the joint and detect if the condition has led to other problems in the joint. Activity modifications or physical therapy are the mainstays of treatment for the condition. Surgery to treat OSD is rare.
