  • Pain in the front of the knee, especially when using stairs or climbing up or down hills
  • Squatting, lunging
  • Pain may radiate toward back of knee
  • Cracking or grating in the knee
  • Knee seems to “catch”

Chondromalacia patellae never causes a fever.
